So I use to go to the original Shoestring in Arleta when they closed down I was so sad. Then lo and behold FB group some people said the owners moved up north and opened another location. Well I made sure we went to check it out. My childhood memories were brought back to life and tasted just as I remember. It was absolutely amazingly delicious. Thank you for giving me back a bit of my childhood nostalgia

Stopped here after an overnight backpacking trip after some debating over going to a McDonalds or trying something new. Service was great! Super friendly and good energy. Food was pretty good too. Had the Pastrami cheeseburger, fries and a strawberry shake. Strawberry shake was really good and much better than any fast food chain's shake. Fries were super solid. Pastrami cheeseburger caught me off guard. It was crazy juicy and the pastrami was soooo good. Food wasn't healthy but it sure was good! Felt like classic comfort food and would definitely come back too again if in the area looking for something that just slaps.

I was just thinking about eating at the Arleta location starting back in the 60's, I'm 73 now. So I googled it and found out where they moved. I always looked forward to eating there as a kid. Enjoy

i've eaten at shoestring twice now, and it is so consistently delicious! the staff are always so friendly and make you feel like part of their family. tons of covered seating inside and on the other side of the restaurant. there's also plenty of parking -- ideal for a quick stop on your way to tahoe! an absolute must if you're in the area. everything on the menu is delicious!

The best junk food you can snack on This is your good old fashion snacks that include great chili dogs mouthwatering cheese burgers with the best shakes anywhere including the orange 50-50 and great sides like deep fried pickles or mushrooms pass on the fries not crispy at all although I should've asked to have them cook it a little longer So if you really want to get your pig on and great place to go on your way to Tahoe

Was going to take more photos but wow we inhaled the food. So yummy we got shakes burgers and chili dog. Great service and yummy food kids loved it as well!

Heard about this place. Not that hungry at the moment but had to stop anyways. Such a fat ass ‍ it was pretty damn good. Best strawberry milkshake ever!! We'll be back for a pit stop next year on our annual vacay to Tahoe.

Shoestring is a solid Burger Joint! I tried two of the most popular items, the Double Pastrami Cheeseburger and the Chili Cheese Fries. First of all, that's way too much food for most people. I took more than half of the fries to go. The fries were very good, but I'm not going to need to get them every time. The burger hit the spot! Hot, juicy, and full of savory cheesy meatness. It was exactly what I was looking for today. I will be back.

In the mood for some greasy spoon food?! This is going to hit the spot! From burgers to chili cheese fries you can't go wrong. We love their banana milkshakes because its made with real bananas. My advice to you is to call in your order because this place is always happening!
